SURFTOWN LOCAL STATUS
Save time with Local Status and enjoy even more flexibility with Freesurf Sessions
With Local Status, you can get into the water even faster: after completing 5 briefings at Intermediate level or higher, you can skip the briefing in all sessions from Intermediate to Expert and jump straight into the water. You can also book exclusive freesurf sessions right away!
How to get Local Status
- Participate in at least 5 briefings at the Intermediate, Advanced, or Expert levels
- You will then automatically be listed as a Local
- Once you achieve this status, we will notify you by email
Your Advantages as a Local
- Skip the briefing in all sessions from intermediate to expert
- Get started right away: Check in with the coach at the briefing zone at least 5 minutes before the session starts, pick up your Lycra, and head into the water
- Participate in freesurf sessions with maximum freedom and flexibility
NEW Freesurf Sessions
As a local, you now have even more freedom: you get exclusive access to our Freesurf Sessions – no briefing, guiding, or coaching required, just surfing! These sessions are only available at the Advanced and Expert levels and can only be viewed and booked by locals in the booking calendar.
Important:
- Participation only with active local status
- As a local, you will receive an activation link by email and can book your Freesurf Session after confirming the link
- Simply arrive at the briefing zone 5 minutes before the session starts – this is where attendance is checked, Lycra is handed out, and the order is determined (those who arrive late cannot participate)
- Freesurf sessions can be found in the booking calendar from December 1.
Prerequisite: You must be able to surf safely and independently without the support of a guide at your chosen level (Advanced & Expert).
Note:
In beginner sessions (first-timers, rookies, kids), progressive sessions, and all coaching sessions, the briefing is still mandatory—regardless of local status.
As a SURFTOWN local, please be at the briefing zone at least 5 minutes before your session. Your guide will check you in and give you your Lycra. If you arrive late, you will not be able to participate—even with local status.
