Kids First-Timer Kids First-Timer

The kids' First-Timer surf sessions are a playful introduction to the world of surfing. From safe handling of the surfboard and gliding in waves to successfully surfing their first waves - our child-orientated coaching in small groups and a safe environment ensures quick learning success and guarantees lots of fun. The little ones don't need any previous surfing experience and we provide them with all the surf equipment they need.

  • Gently breaking beginner waves in waist-deep water
  • Age 6-10 years (Kids Session)
  • 45 min. briefing, theory & activation; 60 min. in the wave pool; 15 min. de-briefing
  • Maximum 5 kids per surf coach, maximum 10 kids in total per surf zone
  • No surfing experience required
  • Coaching by a professional surf coach
  • Price from 95,- €

Suitable for

Ideal for all kids aged 6-10 who want to get into the world of surfing. We show you the fascination of surfing in a playful way. Safety and fun are the top priorities here.

Session objectives

  • Surf Knowledge: Safety & handling the surfboard
  • Paddling & Catching Waves: Catching white water waves
  • Take-off: First simple take-off attempts
  • Stance & Speed: Basic surfing stance
  • Wave Sections: White water waves straight surfing
  • Manoeuvres: Gliding & Shakas
  • Number of sessions up to the next higher level: As soon as learning objectives and physical requirements are met

Preconditions

Please check whether you fulfil the following requirements before booking.

  • No surfing experience required
  • Age 6-10 years (Kids Session)
    (Kids who are older than 10 years are ideally catered for in our regular First-Timer surf session)
  • Ability to swim (at least 25 metres) and no fear of water & waves
  • No acute injury or illness

All in This is included in your surf session:

  • Surf Equipment
    For your surf session you will receive a softboard that is easy to learn on, a high-quality wetsuit from our partner RipCurl and a surf helmet.
  • Professional coaching
    Our friendly and licensed surf coaches will support you during the entire surf session to help you learn quickly.
  • Safe learning environment
    Our professional lifeguards will ensure your safety at all times. We will provide you with safety equipment such as a helmet and leash.
  • Day ticket and wristband
    When you check in, you will receive a high-quality SURFTOWN wristband that gives you access to the outdoor area of the surf park for the whole day.
  • Changing rooms & lockers
    The use of our changing rooms with showers, lockers and valuables lockers is included in your ticket.
  • Perfect waves
    You get a guaranteed number of wave attempts due to a limited group size, as well as perfectly suitable waves for your surfing level.

Kids Session

In our beginner zones, an ideal and beginner-friendly wave is formed for the first take-off attempts and learning successes. The water depth here is chosen so that you can stand up at any time.
