Welcome to the Peak Zone: In our Progressive Session you will learn all the basics of surfing in the Peak Zone. Your skills will be honed here - and so will the water: learn how to paddle and surf in a line-up, practise angled take-offs in green waves and improve your surfing posture and board control! You will also learn and practise surfing parallel to the wave. Our progressive surf session lays the foundation for advanced surfing techniques and your first turns. You will receive professional coaching and we will provide you with a softboard and a surfhelmet if needed. Optionally, you can also bring your own surfboard from this surf session onwards.

  • 30 min. briefing, theory & activation; 60 min. in the wave pool; 15 min. debriefing

Suitable for

Ideal for anyone who has successfully mastered the basics of surfing in our Beginner Zone and now wants to learn how to surf in green waves.

Session objectives

  • Surf Knowledge: Surf etiquette & handling the surfboard in deep water
  • Paddling & catching waves: paddling in a line-up and catching green waves
  • Take-off: safe, angled take-offs in green waves
  • Stance & Speed: Improve your surfing stance & board control in green waves
  • Wave Sections: Surfing in the lower part of green waves
  • Manoeuvre: Surfing parallel to the wave
  • Number of sessions to reach the next higher level: Depending on physical fitness and learning ability, 1-10 sessions; but at least as many to fulfil the defined requirements of the next higher surfing level

Preconditions

Please check whether you fulfil the following requirements before booking.

  • Mastering the basic surfing and paddling technique
  • Safe and correct take-off technique
  • Mastering changes of direction in white water waves
  • Practised board control in whitewater waves
  • Self-confidence and basic fitness to paddle and surf independently in deep water
  • Minimum age 11 years
  • Swimming ability (at least 25 m)
  • No acute injury or illness

All in This is included in your coaching:

  • Surf equipment
    For your surf session you will receive a softboard that is easy to learn on and a surf helmet.
    You can hire a high-quality wetsuit from our partner RipCurl for a small fee in our surf rental.
  • Professional coaching
    Our friendly and licensed surf coaches will support you during the entire surf session to help you learn quickly.
  • Safe learning environment
    Our professional lifeguards will ensure your safety at all times. We will provide you with safety equipment such as a helmet and leash.
  • Day ticket and wristband
    When you check in, you will receive a high-quality SURFTOWN wristband that gives you access to the outdoor area of the surf park for the whole day.
  • Changing rooms & lockers
    The use of our changing rooms with showers, lockers and valuables lockers is included in your ticket.
  • Perfect waves
    You get a guaranteed number of wave attempts due to a limited group size, as well as perfectly suitable waves for your surfing level.
